According to sources in the Railway Ministry, the issue of waiting tickets is expected to be resolved by the year 2031-32.
The ministry has set a target to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of reserved seats in trains, ensuring that all passengers can travel without the stress of unconfirmed tickets.
Development of a Super App
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has revealed plans to develop a comprehensive super app for the railways.
This app will integrate all railway-related services, making it easier for passengers to access information and book tickets.
The app will provide details on train routes, reservation status, and will facilitate both reserved and unreserved ticket bookings.
This innovative solution aims to enhance the overall railway travel experience and is expected to be ready in about 4 to 5 months.
