Indian Railways has made a major change that will affect millions of passengers.

If you are used to booking platform tickets or unreserved tickets directly from your phone, this update is important for you.

The Railways has decided to completely shut down the UTS app from March 1.

In its place, a new app called Rail One has been launched.

UTS App to Be Discontinued

Until now, passengers could book platform tickets and unreserved tickets through the UTS app without standing in long queues at railway stations.

All you needed was a smartphone.

This saved time, avoided crowds, and made travel easier.

But now, the Railways is gradually discontinuing the UTS app and its services.

In the first phase, new user registrations and ticket bookings were stopped.

Later, R Wallet services and platform ticket booking were also discontinued.

Passengers who have updated to the latest version of the UTS app are already unable to make bookings.

Rail One App: All Services in One Place

To replace multiple railway apps, the Railways has launched Rail One.

Earlier, passengers used different apps for different purposes:

IRCTC for reserved tickets

UTS for unreserved tickets

Where’s My Train for tracking trains

Now, Rail One aims to bring everything together in one app.

Through Rail One, passengers can:

Book reserved and unreserved tickets

Book platform tickets

Track trains

Order meals

File complaints

Access other railway-related services

This means you no longer need multiple apps for different tasks.

Everything is available in one place.

What About Your R Wallet Balance?

If you still have money in your R Wallet on the UTS app, there is no need to worry.

The Railways has clarified that your balance is safe.

It can be used through the Rail One app.

So, if you still have the UTS app on your phone, it is better to switch to Rail One as soon as possible.

With this move, Indian Railways is trying to simplify services and make digital access easier for passengers.
