Indian Railways and Delhi Metro have teamed up to enhance passenger comfort, marking a significant step towards ‘One India – One Ticket’. This collaboration aims to streamline travel for passengers across both networks.

QR Code Integration for Seamless Booking

Passengers can now book QR code tickets for Delhi Metro through the IRCTC app and website, eliminating the need to queue at metro stations.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), Delhi Metro (DMRC), and Center for Railway Information System (CRIS) have joined forces to implement this initiative.

The integrated ticketing system will allow booking of both railway and metro tickets from a single platform in the Delhi NCR region.

Advance Booking and QR Code Convenience

Similar to railway tickets, metro tickets can be booked up to 120 days in advance and remain valid for 4 days. Each ticket comes with a QR code, facilitating hassle-free travel planning.

Booking and Cancellation Simplified

Delhi Metro’s QR code tickets will be accessible via IRCTC’s website and Android app. This service, soon to be launched, will also allow easy cancellation of tickets directly through the platform.
