This move is expected to not only make travel easier but also boost tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges between the two Asian giants.

What This Means for Travelers and Businesses

India’s Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that direct air services will resume as part of the upcoming winter schedule.

The decision comes as both nations are working to rebuild ties and open doors for smoother movement of people and goods.

Earlier in July 2025, India had already resumed issuing tourist visas to Chinese nationals, signaling a gradual warming of relations.

Aviation authorities from both sides have also been revising the Air Services Agreement to make this restart possible.
