India and Russia have taken their bilateral ties to a new level by introducing a free 30-day e-tourist visa for citizens of both countries.
Announced after a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, this step is aimed at boosting tourism and strengthening people-to-people connections.
Along with the visa, India and Russia signed 16 major agreements covering areas like labor mobility, defense cooperation, trade, education, health, culture, and media.
Both nations also set a target to increase bilateral trade to $100 billion by 2030.

Create new employment opportunities in both nations
Additionally, a migration management framework has been agreed upon to combat illegal migration and ensure transparent travel procedures.

Negotiations have also started on a Free Trade Agreement with the Indo-Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU FTA), which will further boost trade.
