New Delhi: Major banks including SBI, HDFC Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB), and Canara Bank have updated their IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) charges for retail customers. These changes apply to transactions up to ₹5 lakh and are now in effect.
While HDFC Bank’s new charges are effective from August 1, 2025, SBI’s revised IMPS charges apply from August 15, 2025.
What Is IMPS?
IMPS is a real-time fund transfer service offered by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), available 24×7, with a transaction limit of ₹5 lakh (excluding SMS and IVR channels).
