If you are planning to go on the Vaishno Devi Yatra, this alert is very important for you. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has warned pilgrims to be careful about booking-related frauds.
Pilgrims are strongly advised not to make any payment in response to fake messages, phone calls, or WhatsApp forwards that claim to offer bookings for the Vaishno Devi Yatra or related services.
Many unauthorized websites and individuals are spreading fraudulent advertisements. Falling for such scams can lead to financial loss.
Rising Cases of Booking Fraud
Despite repeated warnings, many pilgrims continue to fall victim to online and offline booking frauds.
In recent times, several cases have come to light where travelers lost money due to fake bookings. Such frauds not only cause financial loss but also create problems during the journey.
Therefore, it is very important to stay alert and informed before starting your journey to the shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. Being cautious will help ensure a smooth, safe, and stress-free yatra.
Book Only Through the Official Website
The Shrine Board has clearly stated that all bookings should be made only through the official website:
https://maavaishnodevi.org
Before making any payment, always verify the website carefully. If you have any doubts or need confirmation, you can contact the Shrine Board’s helpdesk at +91 9906019494. Staying alert can help you avoid fraud and travel safely.
Smart Locker Facility for Pilgrims
For the convenience of pilgrims, the Shrine Board has arranged smart locker facilities at several locations.
These lockers are available at Room No. 04 (Waiting Hall – Ram Mandir), Durga Bhawan, Parvati Bhawan, Gate No. 03, and Adhkunwari at the Bhawan.
This facility allows pilgrims to safely store their belongings and complete darshan without any worry.
Free Smart Locker Facility: Important Conditions
A special benefit is available for some pilgrims. The smart locker facility in Room No. 04 at the Bhawan is completely free of cost for selected pilgrims who have confirmed bookings for services such as SSVP, Ataka Aarti, Nav Chandi Path, Group Ataka, Katra–Panchhi Helicopter, or the Jammu–Bhavan–Jammu package.
However, to use this free facility, pilgrims must get their booking receipt stamped at the reception counter in Room No. 04.
Receipts without a stamp will not be accepted. The Shrine Board has advised pilgrims to understand these rules in advance to avoid any inconvenience during darshan.
