Western UP may see thunderstorms and lightning at isolated places.

Heavy rain is likely across districts from Purvanchal to the western division.

This rainy spell is expected to continue until May 10, after which intense heat may return.

The ongoing weather activity is due to a new Western Disturbance active in the Himalayan region.
