Weather Changes Expected in Delhi NCR
Delhi NCR may experience relief from the heat, with forecasts of partial cloud cover, light rain, and winds of 30-50 km/h from May 9 to 12, which should make the weather more comfortable.
Monsoon Update
The Meteorological Department is also monitoring the monsoon. It is expected that the southwest monsoon will reach the Andaman Sea, Nicobar Islands, and Southeast Bay of Bengal around Tuesday (May 13).
IMD’s Advice
The IMD has issued safety tips in response to the changing weather. With rising temperatures, it advises people to wear light clothes, stay out of direct sunlight,
and drink plenty of water to prevent heatstroke. During storms, it’s recommended to stay away from trees and electric poles and turn off electronic devices.
Farmers have also been given guidelines to protect their crops and livestock, such as ensuring timely irrigation and covering crops for protection.
