A few days ago, the monsoon had weakened in many parts of the country. As a result, rainfall had stopped in several areas, and the heat had started troubling people again.
However, the monsoon has now regained strength, and rain has started once more in many regions.
This has caused a drop in temperatures, giving people relief from the scorching heat.
Over the past few days, several states have seen pleasant weather due to scattered and moderate rainfall.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has now issued a heavy rain alert for many states from 29 July to 4 August.
Weather Update for Delhi and Rajasthan
In Delhi, people were experiencing intense heat for the past few days. But now the weather is changing.The sky has been cloudy since morning, and it has started raining.
According to the IMD, Delhi will receive light to moderate rain along with strong winds for the next 7 days, which will bring much-needed relief from the heat.
In Rajasthan, the monsoon had also slowed down earlier but has now become active again.
Rainfall has resumed in many areas of the state and will continue in the coming days.
IMD predicts heavy rain in many parts of Rajasthan on 29, 30, and 31 July, and light rainfall or drizzle in some areas.
Additionally, more heavy rain is expected on 1 August and 4 August, along with the possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds.
Heavy Rain Expected in Many States Across India
As per the IMD alert, from 29 July to 4 August, the following states and regions are likely to experience heavy rainfall with strong winds:
North India: Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana
South India: Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Lakshadweep
Northeast India: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura
West and Central India: Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Konkan, Saurashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh
East India: Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Vidarbha
Along with the rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds are also expected in these regions.

nd Northwestern parts — are likely to witness intermittent drizzle along with occasional stronger showers.
