The festive season has started, with Dussehra, Diwali, and Christmas approaching. To make this season even more exciting for frequent travelers, ICICI Bank
and MakeMyTrip (MMT) have introduced a new co-branded credit card.
This credit card comes with two variants: one on the MasterCard network and the other on the RuPay network, both issued at the same time.
Key Features of the Card
The RuPay card can be linked to UPI, allowing for a wide range of online payments. Customers will also earn reward points through the myCash program.
As a welcome benefit, cardholders will receive a MakeMyTrip voucher worth Rs 1,000.
Additionally, they will get a 12-month MMTBLACK Gold membership, providing exclusive travel benefits.
Reward Points and Airport Lounge Access
MakeMyTrip’s loyalty program, MMTBlack, offers 24/7 support and discounts on flight and hotel bookings.
Customers earn 12 reward points for every Rs 200 spent on train ticket bookings and hotel bookings via MMT.
However, reward points are not applicable on rent payments, ATM withdrawals, fuel, or commercial transactions. The good news is that the reward points do not expire.
For travel enthusiasts, the primary cardholder will enjoy premium travel benefits, including 8 complimentary domestic airport lounge visits per year, with two visits allowed every quarter. They will also get one free international lounge access per year.
Movie Ticket Benefits and Fees
For movie lovers, the card offers an exciting benefit. When purchasing two movie tickets per month through BookMyShow or Inox, the second ticket will be free, with a maximum discount of Rs 150.
The card has a joining fee of Rs 999, and the renewal fee after one year can be waived if the customer meets a certain spending threshold.
If not, the cardholder will have to pay the annual fee but will receive a MakeMyTrip voucher worth Rs 1,000 in return.
