Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has introduced two new variants, S Smart and SX Smart, for its entry-level Xter SUV.
These variants are designed to appeal to customers seeking premium features at competitive prices.
Both petrol and CNG versions are available with manual and automatic transmission options.
In the Indian market, the Xter competes with the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
The Exter S Smart variant features a smart electric sunroof, while the SX Smart variant offers a smart key with push-button start.
Both variants come with a 9-inch infotainment system, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a rear camera as an accessory.
The S Smart variant also includes LED taillamps, LED DRLs, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), 15-inch steel wheels, rear AC vents, and covers.
The Exter SX Smart variant, on the other hand, offers an electric sunroof, sharkfin antenna, TPMS, projector headlamps, and 15-inch steel wheels with covers.
For safety, the Exter now comes with ISOFIX child seat anchors and 6 airbags as standard. The ex-showroom prices are as follows:
S Smart petrol: Rs 7.68 to 8.39 lakh
S Smart CNG: Rs 8.62 lakh
SX Smart petrol: Rs 8.16 to 8.83 lakh
SX Smart CNG: Rs 9.18 lakh

The Exter’s new variants are powered by a 1.2-liter Kappa petrol engine, producing 83ps of power and 114Nm of torque. The CNG variant delivers 69ps and 95Nm.
A 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox is available. The car also offers accessories worth Rs 14,999 and comes with a 3-year warranty.
