Hyundai, one of India’s leading automobile manufacturers, has officially launched the i20 Sportz (O) model, catering to the fiercely competitive mid-range segment.

With a compelling starting price of Rs 8.73 lakh (ex-showroom), this model,

based on the Sportz trim, is set to give Maruti Baleno a run for its money.

The i20 Sportz (O) is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine, delivering an impressive 82 horsepower and 115 Nm torque.

Paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, it promises a thrilling driving experience.

Car enthusiasts can choose between single and dual-tone color options,

with the latter priced slightly higher at Rs 8.88 lakh (ex-showroom).

Elevated Features at an Additional Cost

Priced at Rs 35,000 more than the base Sportz model, the i20 Sportz (O) introduces three noteworthy features—wireless charger, leatherette door armrest, and a sunroof.

These additions enhance both comfort and style, making it a compelling choice for consumers seeking a blend of performance and sophistication.

Diverse Trims, Competitive Pricing, and Fierce Competition

The i20 lineup now boasts a total of five trims—Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta (O)—with prices ranging from ₹7.04 lakh to ₹11.21 lakh (ex-showroom).

The newly introduced i20 Sportz (O) is strategically positioned to compete with Maruti Baleno and Tata Altroz in the market.

Despite the stiff competition,

Maruti Baleno remains the leader in sales among these models.

Competing head-to-head with the i20 Sportz (O), Maruti Baleno has been a consistent best-seller.

Priced between Rs 6.61 lakh and Rs 9.88 lakh (ex-showroom), the Baleno offers Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha trims, catering to diverse consumer preferences.

With its 1.2-litre petrol engine, Baleno continues to be a popular choice,

available in a range of six captivating colors.

Hyundai Achieves Record Sales in January 2024

In a remarkable achievement, Hyundai has reported its highest-ever sales for January 2024.

With a notable 14% increase compared to the same period last year, the company sold 57,118 vehicles, showcasing the brand’s sustained popularity and consumer trust in the evolving automotive landscape.
