For context, the previous PNP draw on October 27, 2025, issued 302 invitations with a lowest CRS score of 761.

How the CRS and Job Offer Points Work

Canada uses the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to evaluate applicants based on age, education, work experience, and language skills.

Score thresholds are adjusted for each draw depending on the pool of candidates.

On March 25, 2025, Canada removed CRS points for job offers for most candidates in the Express Entry pool.

Only candidates in exempted NOC groups, like Major Group 00 or other skilled occupations, can still earn points for a valid job offer.

Provincial Nominee Program: A Pathway to PR

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows foreign applicants to live and work in a specific Canadian province or territory.

To get PR through a PNP, candidates must:

Check their eligibility

PNPs select candidates who have the skills, education, and experience needed for the province’s economy.

Different provinces may target students, skilled workers, entrepreneurs, or semi-skilled workers. Selection factors include:

In-demand occupations

Prior work or study experience in the province

Financial ability to start a business
