Honda launches New-Generation Amaze in India

Honda Cars India has launched the new-generation Amaze, with prices starting at Rs 7,99,900 (ex-showroom).

This updated version of the popular sub-four-meter sedan comes in 3 variants and is powered by a single petrol engine option.

The CVT variant offers a mileage of 19.46 kmpl. It also comes equipped with several advanced safety features like 6 airbags and Level-2 ADAS. Here’s a breakdown of the features.

Exterior Design of the New Honda Amaze

The design of the 2024 Honda Amaze has been refreshed with several updates. The sedan features new front and rear bumpers, a fresh grille, LED headlamps with integrated DRLs,

and LED fog lights. It also comes with blind-spot monitors, a new set of alloy wheels, city-inspired wrap-around LED taillights, and an updated bootlid section.

Advanced Features and Safety

The new Honda Amaze is equipped with a Level-2 ADAS suite, a dual-tone cabin theme, and a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system.

It also features a new three-spoke steering wheel, rear AC vents, wireless charging,

and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. For safety, the sedan includes 6 airbags.

Engine Powertrain and Mileage

Under the hood, the Honda Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine that delivers 89bhp and 110Nm of peak torque.

Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a CVT unit. The manual variant offers a mileage of 18.65 kmpl, while the CVT variant achieves 19.46 kmpl.

Pricing and Warranty Details

The new Honda Amaze is available in three trims:

V trim: Rs 7,99,900 (ex-showroom)

VX trim: Rs 9,09,900 (ex-showroom)

ZX trim: Rs 9,69,000 (ex-showroom)

It comes with a standard warranty of 3 years, which can be extended up to 7 years without any kilometre capping.

Additionally, Honda offers an “anytime warranty” of up to 10 years or 120,000 kilometers.

Comfort and Boot Space

The new Amaze offers better comfort with an increased boot size of 416 litres, offering more space than its predecessor.

Rivals in the Market

The 2024 Honda Amaze will compete with key rivals such as the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor.
