Amidst the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, Israel has announced a significant job vacancy for Indian workers, offering attractive benefits.
The country has opened 15,000 job positions and has contacted India to run a recruitment drive for 10,000 Indian construction workers.
Additionally, Israel is looking to recruit 5,000 caretakers to support its healthcare services.
This is not the first instance; last year, Israel also reached out to India for similar recruitment.
Despite the war-like situation, job applications for these positions remain high.
Many applicants are willing to work amidst conflict due to the attractive salary and benefits offered by Israel, including a salary of up to 2 lakh rupees, free food, accommodation, and medical treatment.
Recruitment Details and Requirements
Israel’s Population Immigration and Border Authority (PIBA) will conduct the recruitment drive in India next week.
The second phase of recruitment for construction workers will take place in Maharashtra.
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has confirmed Israel’s new request for recruitment following a similar request earlier this year.
According to reports, Indian workers are being recruited to replace more than one lakh Palestinian workers who are currently banned.
About 5,000 Indian workers have already been recruited through two channels: government-to-government (G2G) recruitment managed by the NSDC and business-to-business (B2B) recruitment overseen by private agencies under the Ministry of External Affairs.
In the first round, 16,832 candidates appeared for the skill test, with 10,349 being selected.
Salary and Additional Benefits
Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of Rs 1.92 lakh, along with free medical insurance, food, and accommodation.
Employees will also receive an additional bonus of Rs 16,515 per month.
These lucrative offers, including high pay and comprehensive benefits, continue to attract many Indian workers, even amidst the challenges of working in a conflict zone.
Last year, after an agreement between the two governments, the NSDC initiated recruitment campaigns across India, starting in states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Telangana.
This new phase of recruitment is a continuation of these efforts.
