Just when winter seemed ready to say goodbye, rain has returned in several parts of India.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alerts for rain in 11 states over the next 24 hours.
In many places, temperatures are expected to fall again due to changing weather conditions.

Rain Alert in 11 States
According to IMD, moderate to heavy rain may affect parts of:
West Uttar Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh
Jammu and Kashmir
Ladakh
Himachal Pradesh
Uttarakhand
Punjab
Haryana
Rajasthan
Arunachal Pradesh
Andaman and Nicobar Islands
In some regions, winds may blow at speeds of 30 to 40 km per hour.
Light to moderate rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on February 16 and 17.
Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh may also see isolated rain and snowfall on February 17 and 18.
Western Uttar Pradesh could receive light rain on February 17 and 18, while parts of Madhya Pradesh may see showers on February 18 and 19.
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands may experience thunderstorms along with strong winds.
Fog to Trouble North India
Even though the cold wave is weakening, fog is likely to cause problems in many districts.
In Uttar Pradesh, districts such as Mathura, Agra, Aligarh, Bareilly, Ghaziabad and Jhansi may see reduced visibility.
In Haryana, cities including Gurugram, Hisar, Karnal and Rohtak may face morning fog.
Punjab districts like Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala could also be affected.
Low visibility in the early morning hours may disrupt road travel.
What About Delhi?
The IMD has said there is no chance of rain in Delhi this week.
The days are expected to remain sunny, and temperatures may gradually rise.
However, mornings and evenings will stay slightly cool.
For February 15, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be around 27°C, while the minimum may remain near 12°C.
Air quality may improve slightly, offering some relief from pollution.
Uttar Pradesh and Bihar Forecast
In Uttar Pradesh, light to moderate rain may affect western districts such as Saharanpur, Aligarh, Hathras, Etawah and Mainpuri on February 17 and 18.
This may bring back a slight chill.
Lucknow is likely to record a maximum of 27°C and a minimum of 13°C on February 15.
In Bihar, no rain is expected over the next three days.
However, several districts, including Patna, Gaya and Darbhanga, may see cloudy skies and morning fog.
Patna’s temperature on February 15 is expected to hover around 27°C during the day and 13°C at night.
Hilly States on Alert
Rain and snowfall may affect parts of Uttarakhand, including Chamoli, Pithoragarh and Nainital.
Temperatures in these regions could drop by 1 to 2 degrees.
In Himachal Pradesh, districts such as Shimla, Kangra and Manali may see rain within the next 48 hours. In Manali, temperatures could fall below zero, increasing the cold once again.
