In July 2025, the average monthly rainfall across the country is likely to be more than normal—over 106 percent of the Long Term Average (LPA).
Most regions may receive normal to above-normal rainfall. Even today, a high-level rain alert has been issued. Let’s see how the weather may be in different parts of the country.
The Meteorological Department has warned that people need to be very cautious today, as a Red Alert—the highest level warning—for heavy rain has been issued in Eastern Rajasthan, Western and Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh.
An Orange Alert for heavy rainfall has also been issued today in Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Apart from these areas, several other regions are also under rain alerts.
Uttarakhand, Western Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch, Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, Telangana, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh are expected to receive rain today as well. These regions are also under weather alerts.
Rainfall is also expected in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Jharkhand, according to the IMD.
