HDFC Bank has introduced significant amendments to its Regalia Credit Card rules, particularly concerning lounge access.
Effective from December 1, 2023, credit card users will need to meet specific spending criteria to enjoy the privileges associated with this exclusive service.
New Lounge Access Requirements
HDFC Bank’s Regalia Credit Card holders seeking lounge access must fulfill a spending threshold.
To avail lounge access, cardholders will be required to spend Rs 1 lakh or more within a calendar quarter (January-March, April-June, July-September, October-December).
This means lounge access can only be granted after a transaction of Rs 1 lakh at any ATM.
Claiming Lounge Vouchers
From December 1, 2023, lounge access for both domestic and international lounges will no longer be automatic for Regalia First Cardholders.
To access lounge benefits, customers must claim a lounge voucher by visiting the Smart Buy page and Lounge Benefits page on HDFC Bank’s website.
Lounge access can only be utilized if the customer adheres to the spending requirements.
Limited Lounge Access
Regalia First Credit Card users can enjoy up to 8 complimentary lounge accesses per year on Visa or MasterCard.
Swiping the Regalia First Credit Card at the lounge entrance is necessary for access.
Exceeding the prescribed limit of complimentary accesses will result in additional charges, with a transaction fee of Rs 2.
MasterCard customers will initially be charged Rs 25, but this fee will be reversed later.
