Cotton farmers in Haryana have a reason to cheer! They no longer need to rush to markets to get the full Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their crops.
The government has launched a new mobile app called “Kapas Kisan”, which allows farmers to sell their cotton directly from home and receive the full MSP amount with ease.
Easy Crop Selling Through the Kapas Kisan App
The Kapas Kisan App is directly linked to the “Meri Fasal Mera Byora” portal.
Through this app, farmers can check and confirm their crop details, and then book a time slot to sell their produce at the nearest procurement center.
The app is available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store, making it easily accessible to all smartphone users.
Full MSP Benefit and Better Transparency
To get the full MSP, farmers must ensure that their cotton is well-dried with no more than 12% moisture. Only good-quality cotton will be accepted at the MSP rate.
The app ensures that farmers sell their crops directly at government centers, avoiding middlemen and ensuring fair payment.
The Kapas Kisan App also improves transparency and convenience. Farmers can easily track their crop sale details and payment status right from their phones.
This digital process saves time, ensures fair pricing, and strengthens the financial condition of farmers.
A Step Towards a Digital and Fair System
This initiative by the Haryana Government is a big step towards simplifying the crop-selling process.
By going digital, it helps farmers get the right price for their produce quickly and efficiently, ensuring they receive the full benefit of their hard work.
