1) They must be permanent residents of Haryana or have passed their 10th grade from the Haryana Board of School Education.

2) They must maintain at least 80% attendance throughout their ITI course.

How to Apply for the Free Passport

Students need to follow these steps to apply for the free passport:

1) Obtain an admit card from their ITI institute, which is required to appear in the final exam.

2) Submit the admit card along with the passport application form.

The respective ITI institute will manage the application process, ensuring students receive their passports without any cost.

Purpose of the Scheme

The primary aim of this initiative is to provide skilled students with better job opportunities both in India and abroad.

By eliminating the cost barrier for obtaining passports, the government hopes to:

1) Help students explore career prospects overseas.

2) Create awareness about international job opportunities for skilled workers.

Additional Details About the Application Process

JP Yadav, Principal of Girls ITI in Gurgaon Sector-14, emphasized that this scheme will help students avoid hurdles when traveling abroad after completing their courses.
