Govt to Launch Co-Operative Taxi Service, Challenging Ola-Uber

Amit Shah’s Announcement in Lok Sabha

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah recently revealed in the Lok Sabha that a cooperative taxi service, similar to Ola and Uber, will be launched soon.

He mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of prosperity through cooperation is more than just a slogan, as the government has been working relentlessly for the last 3.5 years to make it a reality.

Shah further explained that the government will soon introduce a cooperative taxi platform that will register two-wheelers, rickshaws, and four-wheelers.

The profits from this service will go directly to the drivers, not to wealthy individuals, ensuring that the earnings benefit those who provide the service.

The government’s announcement introduces a new challenge for Ola and Uber.
