The new structure, announced by UIDAI, will remain valid until September 30, 2028, and covers all updates related to personal information, biometrics, and supporting documents after an Aadhaar card has been issued.

Updates for newborns will still be free, and the revised fees apply only to changes made after Aadhaar issuance.

Biometric updates are mandatory for children at specific ages—first at five years, then between five and seven years, and again between fifteen and seventeen years.

UIDAI has also introduced a doorstep service for individuals who cannot visit Aadhaar enrolment centres.

The home visit charge for Aadhaar enrolment or update is ₹700 (including GST).

If multiple people from the same household use the service, the first person will be charged ₹700, while each additional member will be charged ₹350.
