What Is the PM Internship Scheme?
The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme was launched to give young people hands-on work experience in leading companies and government departments.
The aim is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world work.
The government plans to provide internship opportunities to 1 crore (10 million) youth over five years.
Through this scheme, students get exposure to professional environments before starting their careers.

On completion, a certificate is awarded, which can boost future job prospects.
Interns are also covered under PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana.
