Government Insurance Fund Picks 7 Midcap Stocks

The Atal Pension Yojana (APY) is a pension scheme introduced by the government in 2015 for individuals working in the unorganized sector.

It is available for people aged 18 to 40 years. Upon reaching the age of 60, participants receive a monthly pension ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000.

However, those who pay income tax are not eligible to invest in this scheme. Contributions are managed by three fund managers: LIC Pension Fund, SBI Pension Fund,

and UTI Pension Fund. These fund managers can invest up to 15 percent of the portfolio in shares.

Shares Invested in by APY Fund Managers

Cummins India

All three fund managers have invested in Cummins India shares. On August 30, these shares closed at Rs 3,740 with a slight gain of 0.14 percent.

Cummins India has shown impressive growth this year, with a return of 91 percent so far in 2024.

Container Corporation of India

The shares of Container Corporation of India are also held by all three fund managers. On August 30, these shares closed at Rs 966.65, gaining 0.41 percent.

This year, the shares have risen significantly, providing a return of 41 percent so far in 2024.

Astral

Two of the fund managers have invested in Astral shares. On August 30, these shares closed at Rs 1,924, down by 0.35 percent.

However, Astral’s performance this year has been disappointing, with a negative return of 2.48 percent in 2024.

Bharat Forge

Bharat Forge shares are also held by two fund managers. The shares closed at Rs 1,584.10 on August 30, with a gain of 0.39 percent.

This year, Bharat Forge has performed well, with a return of about 27 percent so far in 2024.

Two fund managers have invested in P.I. Industries shares, which closed at Rs 4,503 on August 30, gaining 0.90 percent.
