Google’s New AI Video Tool Veo 3 Now available in India

Google has launched its advanced generative AI video tool, Veo 3, in India. This powerful technology was first introduced at the Google I/O conference a few weeks ago.

Right now, it is available only to users with a Gemini ‘Pro’ subscription. Using Veo 3, users can create short video clips of up to eight seconds.

These videos can include visuals, voiceovers, and background music. The tool can generate speaking voices and add sound effects to make videos more realistic and cinematic.

What Google Said

Google stated, “Whether you want to retell history through the eyes of a modern social media influencer, imagine the sound of biting a glass apple, or feature mythical figures like Bigfoot in a video, Veo 3 can bring your ideas to life. Our team is excited to make Veo 3 available to more people.”

This tool was officially announced during Google’s Annual Developer Conference on May 20. It can create not just beautiful

and cinematic videos, but also add lifelike voices, conversations, music, and sound effects to make them appear more real.

Google also made it clear that every video made with Veo 3 will include a watermark. There will be one that is visible,

and another hidden digital watermark called SynthID to mark that the video was created using AI.

The company also said it is focused on the safe and responsible use of AI. For this reason, Veo 3 is being tested regularly through red teaming and other checks to prevent misuse.

AI Video Creation Is Impressive

After Google I/O, many users posted their Veo 3-created videos on social media.

These showcased impressive lip-syncing, accurate text and image prompts, and realistic physics. Veo 3 is now seen as a major rival to OpenAI’s Sora tool.
