Google CEO Sundar Pichai has given a big surprise to users this week. He announced that Google Veo 3, the company’s advanced AI-based video creation tool, is now free for everyone.
Normally, Veo 3 is available only with the Google Gemini app’s AI Pro subscription (₹1,999/month). But for the first time, Google has opened it to all users without any restrictions.
Pichai said the aim is to let more people showcase their creativity digitally and experience the power of Veo 3 themselves.
What Makes Google Veo 3 Special?
Google Veo 3 was first introduced during the Google I/O event in May 2025. It is Google’s most advanced video model so far.
The tool doesn’t just generate visuals but also adds synced audio such as dialogue, background music, footsteps, and natural sounds.
Google describes it as a “creative Swiss army knife”, ideal for making animated short films, cinematic shots, storyboards, or even game cutscenes.
Currently, it works with text prompts only, but support for image prompts will be added soon, which will expand its possibilities further.
Special Features for Indian Users
To cater to Indian users, Google has also introduced the Veo 3 Fast model, which is specially optimized for quicker video generation.
It is available through the Google Gemini app on both Android and iOS devices.
