Google has announced a major offer for Jio users. The company is giving a free Google AI Pro subscription (Google Gemini’s Pro plan) worth around ₹35,100, completely free for 18 months.
This comes as part of a strategic partnership between Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and Google, aimed at expanding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in India.
Through this collaboration, Jio users will get free access to the Google AI Pro plan for 18 months. Normally, the plan costs around ₹35,100 per user.
The main goal of this partnership is to connect every Indian consumer, organization, and developer with AI.
Offer Details and Eligibility
At first, this offer will be available only to Jio users aged between 18 and 25 years. Later, it will be expanded to all Jio users.
However, the benefit applies only to customers with Unlimited 5G plans.
Under this plan, users will get access to Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro, Nano Banana, and Veo 3.1 models, which can be used to create high-quality images and videos.
It also includes premium tools like Notebook LM for learning and research, along with 2TB of cloud storage.

AI for All: Empowering 1.45 Billion Indians
This initiative aligns with Reliance’s vision of “AI for All.”
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, said,
“Our goal is to make AI services accessible to 1.45 billion Indians. Together with partners like Google, we want to make India not just AI-enabled, but AI-empowered — where every citizen and organization can use AI to thrive.”
Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai also expressed enthusiasm, saying,
“Reliance has been a key partner in shaping India’s digital future. Now, we’re taking this collaboration into the AI era. This initiative will bring Google’s advanced AI tools to Indian consumers, businesses, and developers.”
Expanding AI Infrastructure in India
To make India a global hub for AI, Reliance and Google will also expand access to advanced AI hardware, such as Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), across the country.
This will help Indian industries develop large and complex AI models more efficiently.
The press release also names Reliance Intelligence as a strategic partner of Google Cloud, which will promote the use of Gemini Enterprise among Indian businesses.
Gemini Enterprise is a modern AI platform that allows employees to build and use AI agents for various tasks, improving productivity and innovation.
