Google Discover, the AI-powered personalized feed that shows articles, videos, and media based on user interests, is rolling out a major update.
The feed will now also include content from Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and X (formerly Twitter), along with updates from publishers and creators worldwide.
More platforms will be added soon.
Why This Update Matters
Google said this change is based on user feedback.
Many people prefer seeing a mix of articles, videos, and social posts all in one place instead of switching between multiple apps.
With this update, Discover becomes a central hub for trending and personalized content.
New ‘Follow’ Button for Personalization
To make the feed even more useful, Google has added a new ‘Follow’ button on the top right corner of Discover posts.
Users can now follow their favorite publishers or creators directly.
Once followed, their updates will appear in a dedicated section within Discover.
You can also view a publisher or creator’s recent posts before deciding to follow them.
To use this feature, you must be signed in to your Google account.
Previous Updates and What’s Next
Last month (August 2025), Google introduced a feature allowing users to set preferred sources for search results, helping them avoid clickbait and stick to trusted websites.
Now, with the addition of Instagram and YouTube Shorts, Discover is evolving beyond just news—it’s becoming a one-stop space for personalized news, entertainment, and social updates.
For Indian users, this means less app switching and more relevant, time-saving content directly in one feed.
