. BSES claims that switching from an old AC to a new 5-star inverter AC can help save ₹24,500 to ₹34,000 per year.

Similarly, replacing a regular fan with a BLDC fan can save up to ₹1,800 annually.

Which AC Brands Are Included?

The scheme includes window and split inverter ACs from these five brands:

Blue Star

Godrej

Havells (Lloyd)

LG

Voltas/O’General

When registering, customers must choose the brand in advance. Once a unique registration number is issued, the brand cannot be changed.

There are around 40 AC models to choose from, covering both window and split types. The offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis and valid only while stock lasts.

A Simple Tip to Cut Your Bill Further

BSES has also suggested that raising your AC’s temperature by just 1°C can reduce electricity use by about 6%.

Setting the AC to 24°C is recommended for a good balance of comfort and energy saving.

Why Is This Scheme Important?

ACs and fans together account for around 50% of a home or office’s power use. So, switching to energy-efficient appliances helps in:

Reducing your electricity bills

Protecting the environment

Lowering stress on the power grid

This scheme is a great opportunity for Delhi residents to cut costs and adopt green practices, especially during the summer season.
