To make India’s national highways cleaner, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a new campaign.
Under this initiative, passengers who report dirty toilets at toll plazas can earn a ₹1,000 reward, which will be credited directly to their FASTag account.
The scheme is valid on all national highways across India until October 31, 2025.
How to Claim the ₹1,000 Reward
Follow these steps to report a dirty toilet and receive the reward:
Download the latest HighwayYatra app.
Take a photo of the dirty toilet at an NHAI toll plaza. The photo must be clean, geo-tagged, and show the time.
Enter your details in the app, including your name, mobile number, and vehicle registration number (VRN).
Submit the report. Any passenger who correctly reports a dirty toilet will receive ₹1,000, credited directly to their FASTag account.
Important Terms and Conditions
To ensure fairness and transparency, NHAI has set the following rules:
The scheme applies only to toilets built, operated, or maintained by NHAI. Toilets at dhabas, petrol pumps, or other locations are not included.
Each vehicle number (VRN) can claim ₹1,000 only once during the campaign.
Only one reward per toilet per day will be given.
If multiple people report the same toilet, only the first correct report will be rewarded.
Photos must be taken using the HighwayYatra app. Old, edited, or duplicate photos will not be accepted.
How Complaints Are Verified
All reports submitted to NHAI will first be verified by AI and, if needed, manually checked.
This two-step verification ensures that rewards are given to the right people and maintains the integrity of the campaign.
