Fino Payments Bank has announced a temporary shutdown of its banking services as part of a major system upgrade.
If you are a Fino Bank customer, it is important to be aware of this change to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.
Fino Bank Services to Remain Closed for Two Days
Fino Payments Bank Limited has informed customers that all banking services will be unavailable from the night of January 8 to January 10, 2026.
This shutdown is due to the bank’s migration to a new and advanced banking platform.
The system upgrade will begin at 10:00 PM on January 8 and will continue until 11:59 PM on January 10, 2026.
During this period, customers will not be able to access any banking services.
Reason Behind the Temporary Shutdown
The bank is moving to a next-generation core banking system called Finacle.
This change comes soon after Fino Payments Bank received its Small Finance Bank license from the Reserve Bank of India.
As part of this migration, all services—including digital transactions and other banking operations—will remain suspended until the process is completed.
How the New System Will Benefit Customers
According to the bank, the new Finacle platform will improve operational efficiency and make banking services faster and more reliable.
It will also strengthen risk management and enhance overall system security.
Such upgrades are becoming common across banks as they work to modernize their systems and offer safer and smoother banking experiences.
What Customers Should Do Now
Fino Payments Bank has advised customers to plan their payments and transactions in advance.
Completing important transfers before the shutdown can help avoid disruptions during the two-day downtime.
Once the upgrade is complete, customers can expect a better and more efficient banking experience.
