Under this new rule, 200 trips will be free for an entire year by paying just ₹3000. This plan is especially helpful for regular highway users who pass through toll plazas often.

With this new scheme, travelers won’t need to pay toll fees on every trip across national highways and expressways.

This will help save travel costs. Let’s understand what this scheme offers and who can benefit from it.

When Can You Get This Pass?

Starting from August 15, 2025, drivers can buy an annual toll pass for ₹3000. This will cover tolls at 200 plazas across India, without any additional charges.

The FASTag Annual Pass will be valid for one year and includes 200 trips.

If a user completes all 200 trips before the year ends, they will need to recharge the pass again.

Similarly, if the year ends and some trips are unused, the pass will still expire as the validity is time-bound, not trip-bound.

How to Recharge the Pass

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that currently, it costs around ₹10,000 for 200 toll crossings.

But under the new scheme, this will cost just ₹3000, leading to a direct saving of ₹7000 for vehicle owners.

The recharge for this annual FASTag toll pass can be done only through the NHAI website or the Highway Yatra app.

It cannot be recharged through common UPI apps like regular FASTag recharges at this time.
