FASTag Offers 200 Free Toll Trips with New ₹3,000 Plan

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced a big change in toll rules that will benefit the general public.

He shared this update on X, saying that a FASTag-based annual pass will now be available for ₹3,000. With this pass, you can make up to 200 toll-free trips in a year.

New FASTag Pass From August 15

Nitin Gadkari wrote, “In a historic step, a FASTag-based annual pass costing ₹3,000 is being launched from 15th August 2025. It will be valid for one year from activation or for 200 trips, whichever comes first.”

This new pass is meant only for private, non-commercial vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans. It will make travel across the National Highways easier and more affordable for personal vehicle users.

Easy Activation Through App and Websites

A special link to activate or renew the Annual Pass will soon be available on the Highway Travel App and also on the official websites of NHAI and MoRTH. The government wants to make the process easy and user-friendly for everyone.

Better Travel Experience for All

This policy also addresses concerns about toll plazas that are located within 60 km of each other. It aims to simplify toll payments by offering one easy solution.

The Annual Pass is designed to offer a smoother, faster, and more comfortable travel experience by reducing wait times, cutting congestion, and avoiding disputes at toll booths.
