If you frequently travel on highways, the FASTag Annual Pass for private vehicles is getting slightly more expensive. Starting April 1, the fee will rise by 2.5 percent—from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075.

This means an extra Rs 75 for each pass.

The FASTag Annual Pass was launched by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on 15th August last year.

It is valid for one year or 200 trips, whichever comes first, and works on all national highways and state highways with tolls deducted automatically from your FASTag account.

How the Price Increase Works

Officials say this price hike follows the annual revision formula for highway tolls across the country.

If you buy your pass before April 1, you can still pay the old price of Rs 3,000.

But after April 1, the cost will increase to Rs 3,075.

This change affects around 52 lakh FASTag users, but the increase is relatively small—just 2.5 percent.

So, if you plan your purchase smartly, you can save a bit before the hike kicks in.

Where to Buy and How It Works

The FASTag Annual Pass is available only on the Rajmarg Yatra App or the official NHAI/MoRTH website.

After payment, your pass is activated within two hours, and you’ll receive an SMS confirmation on your registered mobile number.

Remember, the payment is one-time and non-refundable. Even if you don’t use the pass fully, you won’t get the money back.

For regular highway travelers, this pass is a convenient and cost-effective way to save time at toll plazas.
