Apple is gearing up to unveil its iPhone 15, which will come in four variants, just like its predecessor, the iPhone 14.
These variants include the Standard, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max models. However, the Pro and Pro Max variants may introduce some intriguing new features.
There are also reports suggesting that Apple will release two 6.1-inch iPhones and two 6.7-inch iPhones within this lineup.
Display Sizes and USB-C Charging:
The Pro Max variant of the iPhone 15 may feature a spacious 6.7-inch screen, while the Pro variant could come with a 6.1-inch display.
The Standard version is expected to sport a 6.1-inch screen, and the Plus variant will likely offer a 6.7-inch display.
One notable change in all iPhone 15 models is the inclusion of a USB-C charging port. This shift comes after the European Union mandated the use of a standardized charging port across all mobile devices.
While Apple initially opposed this move, it is now expected to adopt USB-C, allowing users to charge their iPhones, iPads, and Macs with a single charger.
Design Tweaks and Color Options:
In terms of design, the iPhone 15 is expected to undergo subtle changes. The Dynamic Island, introduced with the iPhone 14, will become a standard feature across all iPhone 15 models, eliminating the need for a notch.
However, the iPhone 15 will not incorporate features like a promotion display or an always-on display.
Additionally, there are rumors of the iPhone 15 being available in six color options: blue, coral, white, black, green, and yellow.
The Pro and Pro Max variants of the iPhone 15 may feature thin, curved bezels, enhancing the overall aesthetic.
Nevertheless, the iPhone 15 is anticipated to bear a strong resemblance to the iPhone 14.
New Buttons and TouchID:
Apple may introduce new power and volume buttons in the iPhone 15, along with a cutout for an ‘Action’ button.
Although Apple is reportedly working on an under-display TouchID sensor, it is not expected to be ready until 2025, meaning the iPhone 15 may not include this feature.
Camera Enhancements:
According to Apple expert Ming-Chin Kuo, both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will sport a 48-megapixel primary camera.
Furthermore, there are speculations that Apple will incorporate a hybrid glass/plastic lens with an f/1.7 aperture, consisting of one glass element and six plastic elements, in the camera setup.
As Apple continues to innovate and refine its iPhone lineup, the iPhone 15 appears poised to offer some notable improvements and features, setting it apart from its predecessor, the iPhone 14.
