Last week, Tata Motors and MG Motor unveiled price cuts for their electric vehicle offerings, including MG Motors’ Comet EV and ZS EV, along with Tata Motors’ Nexon and Tiago EV variants.

These adjustments reflect a concerted effort by the manufacturers to align with the government’s push for widespread adoption of electric mobility.

Additionally, the Tiago EV sees a price drop to Rs 7.99 lakh. These reductions amount to Rs 1.2 lakh for the Nexon EV and Rs 70,000 for the Tiago EV, significantly enhancing affordability for prospective buyers.

MG Motor’s Revised Pricing

MG Motor has similarly revised prices for its electric offerings. The Comet EV, now priced at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom), reflects a substantial reduction from its previous tag of Rs 7.98 lakh, marking a saving of approximately Rs 1 lakh for buyers.

Moreover, the ZS EV Executive variant sees a price adjustment to Rs 18.98 lakh.

Making Electric Mobility Attainable

These price cuts underscore the commitment of auto manufacturers to foster greater adoption of electric vehicles in India.

By enhancing affordability and addressing key concerns, such as charging infrastructure, companies like Tata Motors and MG Motor are playing a pivotal role in accelerating the country’s transition towards sustainable mobility.

As these initiatives unfold, prospective buyers are encouraged to explore the revised pricing of electric models, capitalizing on the newfound affordability and contributing to India’s green mobility revolution.
