The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is set to launch its new digital platform, EPFO 3.0, between May and June 2025. This was announced by Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
The goal of this upgraded system is to offer faster, better, and more transparent services to over 9 crore EPF account holders.
The platform will use modern IT infrastructure to speed up processing and enhance user experience.
New Features in EPFO 3.0
Withdraw Funds from ATM: After claim approval, EPF members can directly withdraw money from ATMs just like regular bank transactions.
Auto-Claim Settlement: Claims will be processed automatically, cutting down manual steps and saving time.
Digital Correction Facility: Members can update personal details (like name, date of birth) online, removing the need for paperwork.
OTP Verification: OTP-based verification will replace traditional form processes, making membership simpler and faster.
Improved Complaint System: A faster and more efficient complaint resolution process will help address account holder issues quickly.
Scheme Integration: EPFO plans to integrate schemes like Atal Pension Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Bima Yojana, benefiting millions of unorganized sector workers.
ESIC Services to Expand
The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is working to offer free treatment to its beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
This will cover treatment at government, private, and charitable hospitals.
Currently, ESIC has 165 hospitals nationwide providing healthcare services to around 18 crore beneficiaries.
