Elon Musk has confirmed that ‘X Money’, a new payment service, will soon begin in beta testing with very limited access.
Musk shared this update in a reply on X, saying that when dealing with people’s savings, extra care must be taken.
What Is X Money?
X Money will work like a digital wallet. Users will be able to:

Add money using debit cards
Transfer funds directly to other users
The platform is being developed in partnership with Visa, which will allow smooth fund transfers through the app.

There will be no need for third-party apps or separate services for payments.
Where Will X Money Launch First?
Musk’s company has already secured money transfer licenses in 41 U.S. states, which suggests that X Money will launch in the U.S. first, followed by international expansion.
Future Plans for X Money
Elon Musk has hinted that X Money will go beyond just payments. In the future, it could offer:

Debit cards
This would put it in direct competition with services like Venmo, PayPal, and Apple Pay.
Limited Beta Testing to Start
Musk has said the feature will be tested with a small group of users at first to ensure security and protect user data. During this phase, the team will carefully monitor:

The main goal of X Money is to create seamless, app-integrated payments.

When Will X Money Launch?
