Dream Sports Expands with Dream Money App

Dream Sports, the parent company of fantasy sports platform Dream11, is now developing a personal money management app called Dream Money. The app is currently in its pilot phase.

It allows users to invest in gold and fixed deposits (FDs) and also helps them track their expenses. With this move, Dream Sports is looking to diversify its business offerings.

Impact of New Online Gaming Law

After the ‘Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025’ received the approval of President Draupadi Murmu, Dream Sports stopped all paid contests on Dream11. The company now offers only free online social games.

This bill, which was passed by the Lok Sabha earlier and approved by the Rajya Sabha on 21 August, bans all real money online games.

At the same time, it encourages e-sports, educational, and social online games.

Investment Options in Dream Money

The Dream Money app lets users buy gold starting from ₹10 or invest through a daily/monthly SIP. For this, it has partnered with digital gold trading platform Augmont.

The app also offers FDs starting from ₹1000, with no need for a bank account, and users can withdraw money anytime.

According to Moneycontrol, Dream Money is providing FDs through small finance banks like Suryodaya Small Finance Bank, Shivalik Small Finance Bank, Slice Small Finance Bank,

and NBFCs like Shriram Finance. It has also collaborated with fintech startup Upswing, which provides open finance-as-a-service support.

Tracking Finances with Sigfin

Dream Money has partnered with SEBI-registered AI investment advisor Sigfin. This helps users link their bank accounts

and assets such as mutual funds, stocks, and ETFs to track their income, expenses, and investments in one place.

Earlier, Dream Sports had launched a UPI payment app called DreamX in partnership with Pine Labs in March 2023.

However, the app was shut down in June 2023 after the RBI ordered a halt to UPI services offered under co-branded systems.
