Good news for pilgrims heading to Vaishno Devi! Starting June 18, the Vaishno Devi Shrine Board will offer helicopter services directly from Jammu to the Bhawan cave temple of Mata Vaishno Devi in the Trikuta hills of Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district.
This new service aims to provide a more comfortable and efficient pilgrimage experience for devotees.
Services Included in the Package
Anshul Garg, Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDDB), announced that the direct helicopter service package will include several amenities to enhance the pilgrim experience.
These services include battery car service, priority darshan, prasad, and a ropeway ride. All these facilities are bundled into convenient packages available for booking on the Shrine Board’s official website.
Package Details and Pricing
The Shrine Board offers two types of packages:
Same Day Return (SDR):
Priced at Rs 35,000 per person, this package includes:
Battery car service to the Bhawan upon arrival at the Panchi helipad
Special darshan slip
Prasad
Priority ticket for the cable car to Bhairon temple
Battery car service back to the Panchi helipad
Helicopter ride to Jammu airport
Next Day Return (NDR):
Priced at Rs 50,000 per person, this package includes all SDR services plus:
Accommodation at Bhawan
Participation in ‘Atka Aarti’ rooms
Currently, helicopter service is only available between Katra and Sanji Chhat, with a one-way fare of Rs 2100 per person.
