The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has brought good news for government and retired employees.
Under a new scheme, eligible buyers will get a 25% discount on DDA flats.
This offer is part of the upcoming Karmayogi Housing Scheme, which is set to launch soon.
A total of 3,656 new flats will be available in Pockets 6, 9, and 13 of Sectors A1 to A4 in Narela.
These units include HIG, MIG, and EWS categories.
Registrations are expected to begin in mid-December.
Who Can Benefit From This Scheme?
This special discount is available for employees of the central and state governments, PSUs, hospitals, corporations, and other departments.
Retired employees are also included in the scheme.
Although the final pricing has not been announced, estimates suggest that 2-BHK flats may cost ₹1 crore or more, while 3-BHK flats may be priced above ₹2 crore.
Why This Scheme Has Been Launched
According to DDA officials, the goal is to create a community where government and PSU employees can live together in the same locality.
They mention that although discounted flats have been offered in the past, this is the first time exclusive pockets are being set aside just for these employees.
Good Connectivity and Parking Facilities
The flats come with well-planned parking areas.
The location also offers convenient access to major roads like GT Karnal Road and Urban Extension Road-II, which connect easily to NH-8 and NH-2.
DDA currently has around 35,000 unsold flats, most of which are in Narela.
Nearly 80% of them are meant for low-income groups.
To boost sales, DDA is using methods like dynamic pricing, especially for EWS and LIG flats.
Improvements to Boost Housing Demand
To make Narela more attractive, several steps are being taken.
These include expanding DTC bus routes, developing Urban Extension Road-II, allowing flat mergers, and offering first-come-first-served allotment.
Land has also been reserved for a police station, hospital, DTC terminal, and an education hub.
Metro Connectivity Coming Soon
Once the Phase IV corridor of the Delhi Metro becomes operational, these areas will get direct metro access.
Officials believe this will significantly increase demand for housing.
Other upcoming facilities include Safal and Mother Dairy outlets, a multi-sports stadium, and round-the-clock security with ex-servicemen deployed in housing societies.
