Convenient Ways for SBI Customers to Check Account Balances

Good news for millions of SBI savings account customers!

There are now eight convenient methods to check your account balance.

Checking Your SBI Account Balance Online

Traditionally, checking your account balance meant standing in long lines at the bank, often for hours.

This process was made more challenging by the limited working hours of banks, making it hard for many customers to find time during their busy days.

However, technology has simplified this task, allowing you to check your bank balance via SMS or WhatsApp from home.

The State Bank of India (SBI), one of India’s largest banks, offers several online options for real-time access to your account information.

Mobile Banking Options

1) SBI Yono App: This is SBI’s mobile banking app. Register and log in using your MPIN (mobile banking PIN). Once logged in, go to ‘Account’ to check your balance.

2) YONO Lite SBI App: An easier alternative to the YONO app. Register and log in using your net banking credentials. After logging in, click on the ‘View Balance’ option.

3) BHIM SBI Pay App: Primarily for UPI payments, but you can also check your SBI balance. Register and log in using your PIN. After logging in, click on the ‘View Balance’ option.

4) SMS Service: Send an SMS by typing ‘BAL’ from your registered mobile number to 09223766666. You will receive your current SBI account balance.

SBI Net Banking

Log in to the SBI net banking website here using your credentials.

Once logged in, go to ‘MY Account’ and click on ‘View Balance Amount’.

SBI WhatsApp Banking

Save the SBI Bank WhatsApp number +919022690226 on your smartphone and open a chat with this number.

Type ‘Hi’ in the chat box. You will get options; select the option to check your SBI account balance amount. The balance will be displayed.

Offline Methods

  1. Passbook: You can check your balance in physical form using your SBI passbook.
  2. Customer Service Call: Call SBI’s toll-free customer service number to get your balance information.

To use mobile app or SMS methods, ensure your mobile number is registered with your SBI account.

These convenient methods make it easier for SBI customers to stay updated on their account balances without needing to visit the bank.
