Traffic Challan: The National Lok Adalat will be held across all court complexes in Delhi on 10 May 2025.
The court will be open from 10 AM to 4 PM, allowing people to settle various legal disputes.
The aim of this Lok Adalat is to provide fast and low-cost solutions to pending cases, helping people save both time and money.
In this Lok Adalat, several types of cases will be resolved, including:
Motor accident claims
Motor insurance-related disputes
Cheque bounce cases
Marital disputes (excluding divorce)
Disputes related to electricity and water bills
Land acquisition issues
Salary and pension disputes
Other civil cases
Compoundable challans and notices issued by Delhi Traffic Police
A special feature is that people from the NCR and other states can also come to settle Delhi Traffic Police challans, even if the vehicle is registered outside Delhi.
By settling traffic challans in Lok Adalat, people can get big discounts. In previous events, many people received up to 70% off their challan amount.
For example, one person cleared an electricity bill dispute of ₹1.35 lakh for just ₹5,000, while another received ₹4.25 lakh as compensation in a motor accident case, which earlier had a settlement of ₹3 lakh.
Only compoundable traffic challans (those that can be resolved by paying a fine) will be considered. Also, only challans issued up to 31 January 2025 will be accepted.
If you want to settle your challan, you can download and print it from the Delhi Traffic Police website:

Downloads will be available from 5 May 2025. Please note that printouts will not be available at the court premises.
Each Lok Adalat bench will handle up to 1,000 challans or notices. A total of 1.8 lakh challans/notices will be resolved across 180 benches.
For private vehicles, a maximum of 7 (5 notices + 2 challans) will be allowed, and for commercial vehicles, up to 2 challans/notices per vehicle will be accepted.
People can visit any of the following Delhi courts to participate:
