Car manufacturing company Citroen is soon going to launch a new SUV in the Indian market.
The Citroen Basalt will be launched in the country on August 2, 2024.
Recently, the company has also released the official teaser of this car.
It is believed that this upcoming SUV will be able to compete directly with vehicles like the Tata Curvv.
Special Features
The Citroen Basalt will come with several impressive features. It will have a 10.25-inch digital touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster.
The car will also feature an AC unit, leatherette seats, and automatic climate control with a toggle switch.
Powertrain Details
Talking about the engine, the Citroen Basalt is expected to have a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbo engine. This engine will generate 110 PS of max power
and 190 Nm of peak torque. It will come with an option of a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Positioning and Price
Citroen may place the Basalt between its Citroen C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross models.
The company’s EC3 electric car is also part of its portfolio in the country.
While there is no official information about the prices yet, it is believed that the car will be introduced at an initial ex-showroom price of around Rs 10 to 12 lakh.
After its launch, the Citroen Basalt is expected to compete directly with vehicles like the upcoming Tata Curvv.
The car will be launched in the Indian market on August 2, 2024.
