Citroen has introduced the new C3 Aircross SUV in the Brazilian market, raising eyebrows with its choice of a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine. This engine option differs from the 1.2L turbo unit available in the India-spec model.
A Mighty 1.0-Litre Turbocharged Engine with Impressive Output
Brazilian Engine Upgrade: The Brazilian variant of the Citroen C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.
This engine, familiar in several Stellantis Group cars such as Fiats and Peugeots, boasts a remarkable 130PS power output and 200Nm of torque. Notably, this setup surpasses the India-spec 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo unit by 20PS and 10Nm.
Versatile Transmission Options for Different Markets
Transmission Choices: While the India-spec Citroen C3 Aircross exclusively offers a 6-speed manual gearbox, the Brazilian version will come equipped with a 7-step CVT automatic transmission.
Moreover, the Indonesian-spec C3 Aircross features a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit, hinting at its potential introduction in the Indian market.
Configurable Seating and Impressive Features
Configurations and Features: Similar to the Indian market, the Citroen C3 Aircross in Brazil will be available in both 5- and 7-seater configurations. In the 7-seater model, the third-row seats are removable.
The SUV is loaded with features, including a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a 7-inch digital instrument console, multi-functional steering wheel, manual air conditioning, and power windows.
Safety Comes Standard
Safety Features: In terms of safety, the Citroen C3 Aircross in Brazil is equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, hill assist, rear parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Safety is a priority in this SUV’s design.
