Check new charges for Biometric and Demographic updates

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced new charges for Aadhaar-related services.

The revised fees will be effective from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2028, and again from October 1, 2028, to September 30, 2031.

The update covers Aadhaar generation, biometric updates, demographic updates, and other related services.

UIDAI has shared detailed rates for residents and registrars in its official memorandum.

Key Aadhaar Charges from 2025 to 2028

Aadhaar for children (0-5 years): Free for residents; Rs 75 for registrar assistance

Aadhaar for residents above 5 years: Free for residents; Rs 125 for registrar assistance

Mandatory Biometric Update (5-7 years & 15-17 years): Free for residents; Rs 125 for registrar assistance

Other Biometric or Demographic Updates: Rs 125 for residents

Demographic Updates (online or at centre): Rs 75

PoA/PoI Document Update: Rs 75

Aadhaar Search with Printout: Rs 40

Key Aadhaar Charges from 2028 to 2031

Aadhaar for children (0-5 years): Free for residents; Rs 90 for registrar assistance

Aadhaar for residents above 5 years: Free for residents; Rs 150 for registrar assistance

Mandatory Biometric Update (5-7 years & 15-17 years): Free for residents; Rs 150 for registrar assistance

Other Biometric or Demographic Updates: Rs 150

Demographic Updates (online or at centre): Rs 90

PoA/PoI Document Update: Rs 90

Aadhaar Search with Printout: Rs 50

Home Enrolment Charges

UIDAI also clarified charges for home enrolment services.

The cost will be Rs 700 (including GST) for the first resident at an address, with an additional Rs 350 for each extra resident.

These charges are in addition to standard fees for demographic or biometric updates.
