The Uttarakhand government has finished all the preparations for the Char Dham Yatra 2025.
Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj said that every arrangement has been made to ensure the yatra is safe and smooth.
He also ordered strict action against black marketing of helicopter tickets and unofficial parking charges on the yatra route.
Easier Registration Process This Year
According to the minister, the registration process has been made simpler for devotees this year.
Apart from online and offline registration, pilgrims can also register using a mobile app and their Aadhaar number.
Offline registration centers are available at Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Herbertpur.
A 24×7 control room has also been set up at the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council headquarters in Dehradun to assist pilgrims during the yatra.
When Will the Char Dham Yatra Start?
The yatra begins on April 30, 2025, when the doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri will open.
Kedarnath Dham opens on May 2
Badrinath Dham opens on May 4
Hemkund Sahib opens on May 25
The local administration, tourism, and other departments are working together to ensure everything is in place before the journey begins.
₹12.75 Crore Allocated for Facilities
The government has allotted a budget of ₹12.75 crore for travel route facilities like water, toilets, healthcare, and other essentials:
₹25 lakh to Garhwal Divisional Commissioner
₹1 crore each to District Magistrates of Haridwar, Tehri, and Dehradun
₹50 lakh to District Magistrate of Pauri
₹3 crore each to District Magistrates of Chamoli, Uttarkashi, and Rudraprayag
Helicopter booking for Kedarnath will also begin soon. The minister instructed that ticket sales must be transparent and free from any kind of black marketing or unfair parking charges.
A Symbol of Uttarakhand’s Faith and Culture
Satpal Maharaj said the Char Dham Yatra is a symbol of the faith and culture of Uttarakhand.
The goal is to ensure that lakhs of devotees can complete the yatra peacefully and safely.
