Changes in Credit Card Rules from April 1, 2025

Starting April 1, 2025, several credit card rules will change, especially for Club Vistara co-branded credit cards from IDFC First Bank and SBI Card.

The biggest change is that cardholders will no longer receive milestone ticket vouchers and renewal benefits. Here’s what you need to know about these updates.

IDFC First Bank: End of Milestone Benefits

IDFC First Bank has informed its Club Vistara IDFC First Credit Card users that milestone benefits will be discontinued after March 31, 2025. However, customers can still earn Maharaja Points until March 31, 2026, before the card is fully closed.

Other key changes include:

1) Club Vistara Silver Membership will no longer be offered.

2) The free voucher, which included one premium economy ticket and a class upgrade, will be discontinued.

3) No more milestone vouchers for premium economy tickets.

4) Customers renewing their card after March 31, 2025, will have the annual charge waived for one year.

SBI Card: Ticket Vouchers to be Discontinued

SBI Card has also announced major changes for its Club Vistara SBI Credit Card and Club Vistara SBI PRIME Credit Card. From April 1, 2025:

1) Economy and premium economy ticket vouchers will no longer be available.

2) The milestone benefits for annual spending of ₹1.25 lakh, ₹2.5 lakh, and ₹5 lakh on the Club Vistara SBI Credit Card will be discontinued.

3) Premium economy ticket vouchers will not be available for Club Vistara SBI PRIME Credit Card.

4) The annual charge will be ₹1,499 for the base card and ₹2,999 for the PRIME card, but a fee waiver option will still be available.

With these changes, Club Vistara credit cardholders will need to reconsider their plans, as many important benefits will no longer be available after April 2025.
