India’s cybersecurity agency, CERT-In, has issued a serious warning for users of macOS and Google Chrome.
According to the agency, security flaws found in these platforms could allow hackers to steal personal data or even take full control of a system if they are not fixed quickly.

Security Issues Found in Apple Pages and Keynote
In an advisory issued on January 29, CERT-In highlighted flaws in Apple Pages and Keynote on macOS.
These issues were found in versions older than Pages 15.1 and Keynote 15.1.
Pages had a technical vulnerability, while Keynote’s QuickLook feature was also affected.
Opening a fake or manipulated file could allow hackers to access private data.
Apple addressed these problems in an update released on January 28, which is available for devices running macOS Sequoia 15.6 and newer.
Critical Vulnerability Detected in Google Chrome
CERT-In also flagged a high-risk security issue in the desktop version of Google Chrome.
This flaw affected older versions of Chrome on Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
The issue was linked to Chrome’s Background Fetch API, where incorrect code implementation could be exploited.
If attacked, hackers could remotely run malicious code, potentially taking control of the entire system.
Google fixed this vulnerability in its Stable Channel update released on January 27.
